One and Done Columns
It might be THEIR finale but we’re finally done.
Congrats to those who set records, won tournaments and cashed checks.
I was 0-3 in those three categories but all was not lost.
A quick look back at 2020-21 and the 49 events and why last week didn’t surprise me one bit.
Finally, it’s over.
My grand plan to storm the leaderboard starting at The Open and carrying into the FedExCup Playoffs was a dud.
Throwing the line in the water one last time this season for the game I’m playing.
Done is right, as in almost.
My season was done months ago but I continue this exercise for those who might need to know who to fade or a long shot to shoot the moon.
Mainly it’s therapy for me.
There’s only one for me this week.
I’ll gladly accept blame when he finishes outside of the top 10.
It’s been that kinda season, sadly.
Final WGC event of the season.
Final WGC event at TPC Southwind.
The list of WGC winners doesn’t contain many muppets so I’d find a big boy to take home the big boy check.
Here’s one of the obvious ones. Did you save him for such a grand occasion? If not, keep reading…
I’ve only MC three times this year.
That and $1 will get you any size soft drink at McDonald’s daily.
Sigh.
Plenty of water this week but birds like water. You’ll need plenty of birdies as well.
The last major of the season, THE SIXTH ONE in my game, so let’s goooooooooo!
But to be fair, there’s a WGC and 2 playoff events so yeah, there’s more to do.
The choices this week will be top heavy but the trend of winners here recently suggests that should NOT be the case.
Leaders get the week off while those who are chasing need a home run.
As this season mercifully turns for home, time to start pulling rabbits out of hats.
Bubba Watson has won this three times since 2010 so he needs to be on your radar this week.
I’m zagging to form and course form!
More weather like this please!
