DraftKings Prop Bets for the RBC Canadian Open

Winners Without Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Wyndham Clark, and Sam Burns

The first edition at TPC Osprey Valley, a Par-70 layout playing 7,389 yards, featured a shoot-out with 18-under-par 262 necessary to qualify for a playoff. The top 35 players signed for just four rounds over 70 for the week, and each round of the tournament featured a score of 63 OR BETTER!

Eliminating the four players above knocks out the three top finishers from the Memorial last week (Clark -3^rd, Fleetwood and Burns, T4) and the only three-time winner on the PGA TOUR this season in Matt Fitzpatrick.

Kristoffer Reitan (+2150) made his name on the DP World Tour in 2025 with three victories. After an unsurprisingly slow start to his PGA TOUR season, he has been electric after the calendar turned to April. The Norwegian has not missed the cut in his last seven events and picked up his first victory on TOUR at the Truist Championship, a Signature Event. He arrives 40 miles outside Toronto after playing his final 54 holes at the Memorial Tournament in 11-under-par for T6, including 65 during the marathon Sunday final round. Strong off the tee, his power will put him in premium positions to attack flags and rack up birdies. On a course where there is very little trouble off the fairways and surrounding the larger-than-average greens, he can press SEND all week.

I will add the other finisher at Memorial who shared sixth place, Alex Fitzpatrick (+3400), to this play. Also a winner on TOUR in 2026, the Englishman won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with his brother, listed above, and has not looked back. After his breakthrough win, he shared ninth at the Cadillac Championship before earning a solo fourth place at the Truist Championship. Playing his sixth event of the season, his only finish OUTSIDE OF THE TOP 10 was T75 at the PGA Championship.

My long shot is Aldrich Potgieter (+6800). The South African won the 2025 Rocket Classic at a similar parkland-style course with few hazards last summer. Quietly, he has picked off paydays in his last four and five of his last six, including for at T35 or better. He leads the TOUR in Driving Distance, however you measure it, and sits in the middle of the pack in GIR. Knowing he will have the freedom to fire away off the tee should pique his interest, but he will need his putter to pass through customs!

Top 10 (including ties) – Same Game Parlay – (+700)

Red-hot Wyndham Clark arrives after closing with 60 to win THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and a solo third at a more demanding Memorial Tournament last week. His only finish outside T21 in his previous six events was an MC at the PGA Championship. This week, he returns to TPC Osprey Valley, where he made 20 birdies in 2025 but finished T59. I am pairing him with the 2025 playoff runner-up, Sam Burns. Making his fifth trip to Canada, he owns three top-10 paydays regardless of the course used for the national open. On a run of eight consecutive weekends, his next step is getting it over the finish line. He closed with 62 last year and circled 22 birdies and one eagle for the week. He would be on my short list for First Round Leader (depending on tee times, morning preference) as well!

Canadian Power Play – Top 20 (including ties) – Same Game Parlay (+750)

At the 2023 RBC Canadian Open at Oakdale Golf & CC, Nick Taylor became the first Canadian winner since 1954 when he sank THAT EAGLE PUTT to knock out Fleetwood in a playoff. Now a five-time winner on TOUR, he returns for his second go-around at TPC Osprey Valley and will attempt to improve on four rounds in the 60s and a T13 payday. He enters the week making the cut in seven consecutive events and has opened with a round in the 60s in his last five. I am pairing him with Taylor Pendrith, another GIR machine who cashed T27 here in 2025. The Richmond Hill, Ontario, native has not produced a top 20 result since the first event of the season, T6 at the Sony Open in Hawaii. The inspiration of his home open should be the tonic to kick him into gear. He has not missed the cut in his last five events on TOUR. Now it’s time to finish!

Whoa, Canada! Top 20 (including ties) – Same Game Parlay (+1400)

I have listed the veterans above; now it is time to get in on the new generation of PGA TOUR players from The Great White North. Sudarshan Yellamaraju and A.J. Ewart, both under 30, have forced their way into the conversation in their national open. In a perfect world, I would prefer this in a Top 40 market, but let’s gamble! Yellamaraju, 24, plays from Mississauga, Canada, and cashed 13 times in his previous 16 starts. Balanced throughout his bag, he doesn’t have a problem giving it a knock off the tee (21^st Driving Distance) or making birdies (18^th; 4.25 per round). Ewart, who is 27, cashed T19 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and T17 the next week at the Charles Schwab Challenge. He’s hot! Making the cut 10 times in 14 events, eight of his paydays are T30 or better. Remember, at DraftKings, you can mix and match old and new, or whatever you would like!

While putting is important here, I’ll take my chances with a guy who can keep it in play off the tee and pepper greens in regulation.

I was saving this spot for Jordan Spieth, but he’s a DNS this week.

Bummer.

Spaun was trending nicely (T24, T14, T5) after missing the cut at the Masters. He also missed at Aronimink. This isn’t a major, so let’s ride!

Donald Ross won’t bother too many off the tee. The massive greens, unsurprisingly, are the defense. The ability to spin wedges and hold shots on the proper shelves are the first steps to success. Putting from the wrong side of ridges and getting up and down will test the patience of the world’s best players.

After four consecutive weeks of Poa Trivialis overseeding, slick Bentgrass covers the putting surfaces.

Bomb and gouge? Better be able to spin it out of the rough.

The hardest holes (Nos. 11, 15, 17, and 18) are on the inward nine and will determine the champion. A trio of Par-3 holes stretches over 215 yards each. There are only two Par-5 opportunities.

From The Blue Monster to The Green Mile

Like Doral last week, Quail Hollow Club provides a demanding finish. The final three holes annually rank as one of the toughest trios on TOUR.

Unlike Doral, there are only three Par-5 holes, but a pair of short, possibly drivable Par-4 challenges.

With storms in the forecast for Thursday, a long, arduous walk becomes even longer for those who don’t bomb it. The good news? If wet, the fairways, some of the toughest to hit on TOUR, expand with the balls not rolling out.

Quail Hollow Club hosted the PGA Championship in 2017 (Justin Thomas) and 2025 (Scottie Scheffler – not entered this week), plus the Presidents Cup in 2022.

It will be earned, not given – shout out to Curt Cignetti – this week.

Now, it’s back to work. The obvious choice this week is Scottie Scheffler against a perceived “weakened” field.

I completely buy that angle, especially after finishing second in his previous two outings.

Why would you wait to use Scheffler in an event with McIlroy, Fitzpatrick, MacIntyre, Aberg, Schauffele, Cantlay, Rahm, or DeChambeau playing? For an additional 400k at Memorial? Ok, he’s won the last two there, I won’t argue, much.

As Steve Miller once remarked: Go on, take the money and run.

If you are like me, I hope not, panicked, and took Scheffler already, there are choices below.

Not many have played multiple or any tournament rounds here. There is no course history to provide an angle. I’ll remind you that Adam Scott and Justin Rose won here in their mid-30s. I will also remind you that Rose won at Torrey Pines THIS year. Funny old game…

The Blue Monster

At 7,739 yards, the Blue Monster ranks second to Torrey Pines (South Course) for the longest track on TOUR in 2026. Unlike Torrey Pines, Doral has water on over half of the holes and twice as many sand penalty areas.

There is plenty of water and sand, but also room to work the golf ball from tee to green.

Green speeds will be a manageable 12 feet plus on the Stimpmeter, due to persistent ocean breezes in South Florida.

Hot and steamy conditions will make the golf ball fly. The weather should not be a factor until the final round on Sunday.

If there are 200 guys in the league, I would expect 197 to play him this week.

The pressure of getting his younger brother over the finish line on Sunday did not bother the older brother. The wobbly back nine was completed in style on the Par-5 finishing hole. Matt’s greenside bunker shot gave younger brother Alex a tap-in for 2.5 years of PGA TOUR status and his first win in 11 starts on TOUR. Both brothers had won in their previous start. Occam’s Razor and all that.

Now, it’s back to work. The obvious choice this week is Scottie Scheffler against a perceived “weakened” field.

I completely buy that angle, especially after finishing second in his previous two outings.

As Steve Miller once remarked: Go on, take the money and run.

If you are like me, I hope not, panicked, and took Scheffler already, there are choices below.

Not many have played multiple rounds or any tournament rounds here. There is no course history to provide an angle. I’ll remind you that Adam Scott and Justin Rose won here in their mid-30s. I will also remind you that Rose won at Torrey Pines THIS year. Funny old game…

The field of 82 players includes 41 of the top 50 from the Official World Golf Rankings.
The winners from 2024 and 2023 both posted 63 in Round 3. Last year, Thomas tied the course record in Round 1.
In 2024, Scottie Scheffler joined Bernhard Langer as the only two players to win this event after donning the green jacket the week prior. That streak will continue as Rory McIlroy is not in the field.
Boo Weekley (2007-2008) was the last player to win back-to-back events.
Wesley Bryan (2017) is the only native South Carolinian to win the event.

I am not sure he cares about what’s at stake this week with a win.

Hot golf is hot golf, and I’m riding the hottest player in the field.

I will save the top players for rainier days.

Brooks Koepka (+970) makes his first PGA TOUR appearance, major championships notwithstanding, since 2022. While Koepka has not fared well in four visits to the Farmers Insurance Open, he did cash T4 at the 2021 U.S. Open on the South Course. His return to action should have his game ready to go as if it were a major championship. If this is too bold, sprinkle him for a Top 10 or Top 20 just in case.

Jake Knapp (+730) is a former UCLA player who grew up in Costa Mesa. After missing the cut as an amateur in 2015, he returned in 2023 to share fourth, and added T32 in 2025. He opened the season with a T11 payday at the Sony Open and can absolutely send it off the tee. Oh, he also ranked 17^th in SG: Putting. Nice combo.

Winner Without Xander Schauffele, Si Woo Kim, Patrick Cantlay, Cameron Young, and Ludvig Aberg

Jason Day (+2600) has won this event twice, both times in a playoff, and owns five top-five paydays. Coming off a T2 last week, I do not have to wait for him to find form. The Australian’s short game was on point in the desert, and not many know this layout better.

Wyndham Clark (+3900) lit up the Stadium Course at La Quinta for 64, the second-lowest round of the week, before he stalled out with 72 on Sunday for T13. He took only three bogeys for the week, but two were doubles. Without any hazards to worry about this week, minus the pond fronting No. 18, he can whale away off the tee and continue to wield a hot putter. The U.S. Open winner at LACC, he should feel comfortable in the big ballpark this week.

Top 10 (Including Ties)

Red-Hot Ryan Gerard (+405) cashed T2, second, and P2 in his last three worldwide starts. On debut at Torrey Pines in 2025, he grinded out a T15 result in difficult scoring conditions. Already a winner on California grass at the Barracuda Championship last summer, he won’t be bothered by Poa annua on the putting surfaces. I can’t imagine he is short on confidence, either.

Andrew Novak (+730) was the only player to cash a check inside the top 15 in both events held at Torrey Pines in 2025. Playing from the final group with eventual champion Harris English at the Farmers Insurance Open, he posted 74 and finished third. Returning for The Genesis Invitational, he posted three of four rounds in the red and earned T13.

I felt Sahith Theegala (+690) was priced for pouncing last week at The American Express. Not even an opening round of 71 could keep him out of the top 10 (T8). Another week in his native California, he will attempt to build on his five-from-five record at Torrey Pines, which includes T4 in 2023, plus T17 from The Genesis Invitational in 2025, where he closed 69-68.

Top 20 (Including Ties)

Max Homa (+225) continues to knock on the door of a breakthrough. Over his last five starts on TOUR, he has five results of T40 or better, including three at T19 or better. He opened 2026 by posting T27 with four rounds in the 60s at The American Express. The 2023 Farmers Insurance Open winner cashed four T19 or better paydays in his last six starts at Torrey Pines.

Haotong Li (+315) squared only three bogeys at The American Express and cashed T8 in his second start of the season (T55 Sony Open). Ranking second in SG: Tee to Green, he was a beast off the tee, and into the greens. He gained the second most shots on the field on the South Course, the most difficult of the three courses in play. The recipe at Torrey Pines is not complicated. Smash it, find it, and smash it again.

S.H. Kim (+430) cashed in this category last week after closing with 66 for T18. In fact, this was his seventh consecutive payday where he earned T18 or better in his last seven worldwide events. This is a recording.

Par-4 Winner

History shows that eight of the last nine winners have finished the week T7 or better in this category. Three of those winners have led the field in this category, including 2025 champion Harris English, and one ended up second overall. Instead of plucking out one of the top Par-4 performers from the 2025 season-ending stats, I would marry this play to your champion and try to double-dip. The conservative play would be the former. I will ride with Jason Day (+4100), who ranked T27 in 2025.

Will there be a playoff?

There has been only one playoff required in the last seven events and just two since Jason Day won a four-man shootout in 2015. The 18^th hole is a Par-5 with water proteccting the perched final green. A perfect drive means TIME TO GO for the green in regulation. There is plenty of room to bail out long, right, and left, but pressure does funny things to even the best players. With the forecast suggesting PERFECT scoring conditions, I am going to ride the drama angle. Let’s gamble!

THIS WEEK – Farmers Insurance Open

The script flips entirely as the TOUR moves from the resort courses of the California desert to a major championship venue on the La Jolla coast.

The contenders this week will not be able to spray it all over the property and still circle birdies.

Nobody hits the fairways here, and not many more find GIR. The farther it goes with the driver, the more loft into the small greens. Then it’s time to putt on Poa annua in three of the four rounds (Bentgrass on the North).

I’m leaning on power players with excellent short game.

MY CHOICE: Jason Day

With six podium paydays, including two victories, the Australian knows the way home at Torrey Pines. Sharing second last week, I do not have to worry about him rounding into form or searching for confidence. His template is the model here. Smash it, chip it, and hole it. Both of his wins came in extra holes.

Day did not factor into my plans in the majors or Signature Events, so he takes the bullet this week. Ludvig Aberg does.
