Another week, another week of mismanagement.
We learn something every week as gamers, right?
I prefer to bang my head against the same wall instead…
Looks like I wasn’t alone, either!
For those of you who don’t know, Ned has been a MAYJAH PLAYAH in the world of Yahoo! and was a contributing writer at Rotoworld before, during and after my tenure there.
Give him a follow on the Twitter: @Esoxgolf
Ned and I both took a bath last weekend as 62 and 58 destroyed average, under-par rounds which usually accumulate points. See the picture above for answers…
Let’s see how we match up this week!

Last week
Awful August has now seeped into September.
I can’t stop the slide as my guessing skills have gone out the window with the players I do roster.
With no McIlroy, Casey, Walker or Scott, it’s hardly a surprise that I’ve fallen even farther behind.
My best pick of the week was playing Oosthuizen on Saturday so that’s not saying much.
I’ve listed thoughts on all 70 golfers here:
This week
Last time around, Crooked Stick was bombed into Bolivia as Mike Tyson would say. Hell, Phil Mickelson made 28 birdies and didn’t win! The course isn’t as soft this year but…with weather forecasted for late Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we’ll have to wait and see.
It’s time to gamble. I’m going to ride guys who are hot and that should balance out for East Lake.
I hope.
If you don’t see a big-name player listed below it’s because I am limited on starts and saving for next week.
Check my preview for any questions you might have but the answer is going to be YES, FIRE AWAAAAAAAY!
Group A
Season starts remaining in ( )
Dustin Johnson (3)
Jason Day (2)
Yeah, I’d play Scott here. Yeah, I’d play Spieth here. Yeah. Let this be a lesson to Yahoo! gamers who are “saving starts” for down the road.
Don’t.
Play them. Light it up.
I’m taking WAY TOO MANY to the grave of 2016!
Group B:
Rory McIlroy (1)
Patrick Reed (1)
Hideki Matsuyama (4)
Russell Knox (10)
So long, Patrick Reed! I hope you sail the ship into port with more bounty than you’ve already collected! I’ll find some scallywags for East Lake (I hope!).
Group C:
Branden Grace (4)
Emiliano Grillo (9)
King Louis did me well on Sunday last week but I still missed the switcheroo on Monday for Grillo. I can’t time it. And with no cut this week, I’ll be Captain Strugglebus again! Danny Berger is going to be my white whale???
So that’s that. Panic, fade or follow.
WHAT COULD GO WRONG????
