One of my best results on the season, minus the winner, even with a DOUGHNUT from Group 2. You know, Group 2? The group with the MOST options to make the cut weekly?

I can’t be upset hitting the best players in Groups 1 and 3 but no winner and NO CUT made from Group 2 just shows the constant struggle.

Lucas Glover made the cut in Group 4 but faded as the weekend wore on.

 

This Week: DBC

Group 1: If it ain’t broke, and he’s surely not, don’t fix it! No injury worry (Stenson). No putting worry (McIlroy). No streak of three consecutive rounds OVER par (Spieth). Yes, we’re splitting hairs here. Either of these five can win. DJ is second choice for me though.

Group 2: I struggled mightily here between Scott and Fowler. My gut said AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE but I went with the boom/bust instead. I feel Fowler is going to win by five or MC this week so buckle up. Or play it safe and take Scott. Be sure to check the preview column if you’re curious about other players.

Group 3: Part of me thought about not changing the side at all from last week! Why won’t Grillo play well this week? I’m guessing because he’ll command 50% or better of the action in the group so I’m zagging away. His ball-striking is ace but he can be putted off the greens this week and that’s hopefully what Snedeker will do!

Group 4: Unlike Grillo, I’m riding O’Hair this week as he’s put in the time and racked up the top 10’s on this quirky track. The recent history shows us the crusty Tour pro might be the safer bet than the up-and-comer here. There’s plenty on this discount rack to take a flier on most weeks and this qualifies!
