TPC Deere Run won’t run out of birdies or eagles and that’s the key this week in Yahoo!. With 19-under-par the HIGHEST winning score in the last six years, I would expect nothing but the same again this year.
For those of you who don’t know, Ned has been a MAYJAH PLAYAH in the world of Yahoo! and was a contributing writer at Rotoworld before, during and after my tenure there.
Give him a follow on the Twitter: @Esoxgolf
Ned and I both took a bath last weekend as 62 and 58 destroyed average, under-par rounds which usually accumulate points. See the picture above for answers…
Let’s see how we match up this week!
Ned Brown
Points: Travelers: 106
Points: SEASON: 4,571
Rank: SEASON: 4,341
@MikeGlasscott
Points: Travelers: 118
Points: SUMMER Segment: 927
Rank: SUMMER Segment: 2,635
Points: SEASON: 4,743
Rank: SEASON: 568
Last week
Thanks to that 58 on Sunday, I finished the week with zero points on the final day even though I have all four players at par or better.
Haha.
I left a 66 and 64 on the bench on Saturday which didn’t help anything either.
Anytime I find some momentum, I can’t wait to throw it away.
This week
Birdies and more birdies and any eagles.
Low 60’s will be the rule, not the exception, like last week…
More Birdies.
Yahoo! is a scoring game and my lineup will try and reflect that! Don’t forget, guys have to make it to the weekend as well!
Group A:
season starts remaining in ( )
Keegan Bradley (10)
Ryan Moore (8)
Bradley’s warming gets the nod of Harman’s dodgy course form here. If Moore does what Moore should, I’m going to look to catch twitchy.com for one big one Thursday or Friday.
Group B:
Zach Johnson (7)
Jerry Kelly (8)
Robert Streb (10)
Hudson Swafford (10)
The only other fellas to jump of the page here is Matt Jones but Steve Wheatcroft can throw in a sub 65 just when you’re not expecting it. After his recent results before Travelers, it might not be that far-fetched…
Group C:
Jon Rahm (8)
Daniel Summerhays (8)
Based on the tee times, this pairing might differ or it might not. I can hedge Stricker here because young, fearless dudes might be able to sneak a few in behind the “safety-first” crew. I’m not fading Stricker by any means, but having to make a bunch of birdies for FOUR rounds might weigh a bit on him. Might.
