Round 2 Thoughts: Sentry Tournament of Champions

Modern English would stop the world to melt with you.

Harris English is looking to pick up his first win on TOUR since 2013.

Two rounds in the books in Maui

— English has hit 27 of 30 fairways and 31 of 36 greens but doesn’t lead the field in any statistical category but the one that matters most: Strokes-Gained: Total.

— Daniel Berger signed for a bogey-free 65 (-8) and jumped 11 spots to T2. He’s T2 also GIR.

— Collin Morikawa joined Berger with 65 and it could have been better as he missed a six footer and nine footer for birdie. Leads the field SG: Tee to Green.

— Back to back 67s for Ryan Palmer. Solid. Best finish here is T15.

Justin Thomas played his inward nine even par to fall two shots behind.

Xander Schauffele (T6) is proving me wrong daily as he recovers from COVID. Holing an 81-footer for eagle on the last will help.

Dustin Johnson (T10) posted a bogey-free 65 and jumped right back into the conversation as he looks for his third win here.

Bryson DeChambeau (T10) leads the field SG: Off the Tee.

Webb Simpson (T17) leads the field SG: Approach.

Birthday boy Sergio Garcia (T22) leads the field SG: Around.

Abraham Ancer (T34) leads the field SG: Putting.

Joaquin Niemann (T10) has circled the most birdies with 15.
