I didn’t have any in the top six in the scoring metric so I’ll consider this a success.

Valero underlined that I’ll need a dog or two each week to start barking if I’m going to get back into this race. The question, as always, is which dog.

This Week

Big boy golf on a big boy course for the second event in a row on their own ball.

Quail Hollow Club identifies with the bomb-and-gouge crew that isn’t firing hybrids and four-irons into Par-4 holes. It also rewards a grinder who can keep bogeys off the card and the ball out of the rough and trees.

As I wrote in the OAD, there are plenty of household names that play well here annually. I’m starting with them and letting those behind try and catch up.
