He’s back!
Should he be in the lineup this week?
Welcome to 2018!
In here, you’ll find my BRIEF thoughts and strategy for the PGA TOUR Fantasy game.
It’s no secret that I cannot stand substitution games but I’m always using it to my advantage when it benefits ME.
I finished in the top 100 last year so I’ve figured something out, BUT:
I’m off to a terrible start in 2017-18.
1.) I forgot to play one week.
2.) I had ALL SIX GUYS miss the cut at The RSM Classic to end my chances, er, season in 2017.
After reading that, I’m surprised any of you would read on but alas, I’ll forge ahead for those who do.
Last Week — CareerBuilder Challenge
- Tournament Points: 666
- Tournament Rank: 2,196
- Season Points: 7,358
- Season Rank: 3,616
Having Jon Rahm helped move up the ladder but none of the supporting cast bested T14.
A desert shoot-out that was on the cards was exactly that.
Since the only metric used last week was scoring, T14 and up for the others was not ideal.
This Week
Scoring returns again as the only metric this week so I better find some top 10 ballers. Let’s remember that this segment (three starts per segment) last through the entire month of March and will include the Florida Swing and a WGC event in Mexico. As I’ve listed in my previous material this week, bombs away should rule the day but we have seen all types contend recently. I’m going to take my chances on the big, bad ball-strikers!
And yes, Tiger Woods is back. After hearing his press conference this afternoon, I’m taking this week to enjoy his return. I’ll need a few reps before I’m declaring he’s back in my lineup.
You can check my thoughts on guys you don’t see in my preview and The Confidence Factor.
Alternate Alternatives
For those of you, who like to live dangerously…or like me, need to have a miracle this week to get back into business:
Bud Cauley
Rickie Fowler
Marc Leishman
Jason Day
Charles Howell III
Jhonattan Vegas
Good luck!
