DraftKings has plenty of ways to join the action weekly in a salary-cap-format game. Gamers pick six players on a budget of $50,000 and hope they make the cut and go low. Each week I’ll list the players who I think have the most value and give examples of potential lineups.

Last Week:

Dustin Johnson should have gotten you off on the right foot but that’s where my help ended. Nice T-30 somethings and T-40 something but a pair of MC is getting us anywhere! Hopefully the weather this week gives us a boring, normal, one-round-per-day golf tournament!

This Week:

I’m leaning on the best iron play in the game to anchor my lineup. I’ve tossed in some course form, recent form, regional bias, tough mudder and a gut shot as well. I don’t like leaning on just one group or one style because it never turns out that way. I don’t ride with all putters or all ball-strikers.

I’ll agree that getting the ball on the green in regulation this week is very important and so is keeping it dry. Neither of those qualifications suggest a putter but guys who miss GIR will have to get up-and-down and there’s value in that as well.

With only two par fives and the winning score in single digits the last four years. this isn’t the week to worry about who’s going to make a ton of birdies. Grinding pars are will work just fine for me.

My lineup this week:

Adam Scott ($12,200): It’s too bad DJ isn’t playing this week as I could have just copied and pasted for the third week in a row. I’ve seen on Twitter this is a big, bad field. I don’t think so.

Russell Knox ($9,000): Essentially free this week and he should have massive ownership, rightfully so.

Brendan Steele ($8,100): He’s rolling along in his career season and has had found plenty of love here the last two years.

Kevin Kisner ($7,700): He received a very long look in my OAD this week so you I’m enjoying this price.

Billy Hurley, III ($6,500): Multiple factors in play here and it doesn’t hurt he was T-10 two years ago.

Michael Kim ($6,500): Gotta give to get so I’ll saddle up a guy who’s made four of his last five cuts.

Plan B:

Mix-n-match if the above don’t float your boat

Rafael Cabrera-Bello doesn’t miss many GIR or weekends so he makes sense as does Luke Donald as he checks the course form and current form boxes.

Local favorites Daniel Berger and Rickie Fowler should be popular additions as well.

John Senden doesn’t mess around here and if you need a guy to make a cut, he makes sense with his ball-striking.

Gut Shot(s)

One ping. One ping only.

Patton Kizzire ($6,600): Yeah, there are the “others” but there is also 64 and 68.
