Multiple formats pose multiple questions each week but I have multiple answers to keep you in the loop.
With only three events left, it’s time to put up and move up the boards.
The craziest stat I heard this week was that the last eight FEC Playoff events were won by 20-somethings.
That’t can’t be true!
2014 DBC: Chris Kirk
2014 BMW: Billy Horschel
2014 Tour Championship: Billy Horschel
2015 Barclays: Jason Day
2015 DBC: Rickie Fowler
2015 BMW: Jason Day
2015 Tour Championship: Jordan Spieth
2016 Barclays: Patrick Reed
Yep, it is!
TPC Boston is going through an identity crisis over the last two years. Part of that is Mother Nature and part of that is Gil Hanse and Brad Faxon constantly tinkering with the layout. Big boys win FEC Playoff events and I don’t think this layout will change that this week unless they water it down and make it easy. It’s the Playoffs so don’t count on it but if the wind is down, which looks to be the case, I’d expect more birdies and low scores this year.
There have been multiple winners in the FEC Playoffs the last four years so don’t count out Reed this week.
Only Vijay Singh has won the first two events to start the Playoffs.
Don’t forget to check out all of the other DBC preview material as I’ve got stuff splattered all over that you’ll need to know.
Good luck chops!
