1.) Brendan Steele looks to cash-in his three-shot lead to pick up his first win since 2017 Safeway.

2.) Lift, clean and replace has buoyed scores thru the first 54 holes.

3.) Saturday was the first day in three rounds where the scoring average finally broke 70 (69.576).

4.) There were exactly zero, bogey-free rounds on Saturday.

5.) There were three rounds of 64 posted in Round 3.

6.) Those who signed for 64 yesterday reside first, T4 (Kisner) and T7 (Mark Anderson). Two of the three are from South Carolina.

7.) Brendan Steele has played this event once (2011) and MC. So much for the experience angle but he’s won Valero in the wind so that definitely counts.

8.) Steele and Cameron Smith have circled 17 birdies each. They’ll play in the final group.

9.) Steele leads the field in Approach and Putting and that would continue the trend of recent winners if he can close it out.
