Round 2 Recap: Sentry TOC

He’s doing it again!

(And you shouldn’t be surprised)

.) Xander Schauffele has shown gamers that he loves what’s familiar. Check out his story at East Lake and Shanghai if you need more information.

.) Schauffele owns the only bogey-free card after 36 holes.

.) The defending champ hasn’t made a bogey since Hole No. 1 in Round 4 last year. That’s 53 straight and counting.

.) The only player with both rounds in the 60s is also pictured above.

.) Only four rounds in the 60s as squalls moved through islands in Round 2. Patrick Reed jumped 14 spots after his 66. There were nine rounds in the 60s Thursday.

.) Reed and Niemann share the low round of the week.

.) Gary Woodland posted 69 to jump 13 spots to T9 after an opening round of even-par 73.

.) Graeme McDowell completed the sub-70 quartet as his 69 moved him to T15.

.) Tyler Duncan dropped from T5 to T26 after 78. Bit different conditions in Round 2.

.) What’s Azinger’s new catch-phrase now? Something about “he’s gonna release the shaft on this one”? Said it three times in five minutes when Thomas was playing 16 and 17.

.) You can be 30th in proximity if you’re No. 1 in SG: Putting. Reed has gained over seven shots on the greens this week already.

.) He’s also holed almost 280 feet of putts, the most thru two rounds in his career.

.) Whether or not the weather made a difference? 71.706 Round 1 v. 72.088 Round 2.

.) Of the top 10 SG: Off-the-Tee, eight are T15 or better.

.) Of the top 10 SG: Approach-the-Green, seven are T15 or better.

.) Of the top 10 SG: Putting, eight are T9 or better.

.)

.) Enjoy the 4pm ET start today!
