OAD: Mayakoba Golf Classic

I’m a radio-face guy, I know…

This Year:

I hit the winner’s circle three times and the two late victories pushed me into the top 10 of Spotter’s game.

All four majors selections hit the top 10.

Seven MC were dire but the most punishing one was Francesco Molinari at THE PLAYERS. We know what happened after that.

My Life

I have been given a fantastic opportunity at PGATOUR.COM to join their experts game so I better make the most of it.

Check PGATOUR.COM/Fantasy this afternoon for details.

Coming Soon

Did you enjoy the off-season? I had just enough time to acquaint myself with the 49 newbies (barely) from the Web.com plus evaluate all the 150 on the FedExCup points list.

As usual, I’ll have my rankings* out between Thanksgiving and New Year so you can see what I think entering the meat of the 2019 season.

*I don’t do rankings. I evaluate every player and you can put them in a certain order. I’ll point out strengths and weaknesses plus hints on when to jump on board.

Last Week: Shriners Hospitals for Children Open

Those of you who went the defending champion route were stung by the late bogey that flipped Cantlay. He still collected $756k so that bet was rewarded handsomely.

DeChambeau is a monster and will have to be considered almost weekly after his third win in his last five starts.

Wise was decent as he missed a top-10 payday by a shot. Another $100k is fine when I didn’t have first or second on my board. Survived, advanced and didn’t burn a premium player.

My Choice: Aaron Wise – T15

Safety Dance: Gary Woodland – T10, Ryan Moore – T36, Tony Finau – T36

Spicy: Scott Piercy – T10, Austin Cook – MC, Kevin Na – MC, Chesson Hadley – T7

Picks for Dreamers: Alex Cejka – MC, Adam Schenk – MC, Anders Albertson – T28

Picks for Noses: Jordan Spieth – T55, Rickie Fowler – T4

Six Beers In: Russell Henley – MC, Denny McCarthy – T15

This Week

Read about all the details in The Confidence Factor.

Not much different this week besides the addition of sea breeze and paspalum.

The average winning score since the move to November is around 19-under par so it’s another week with a wide-open field. The more the merrier so don’t be afraid to look outside the box!

My Choice: Charles Howell III

Safety Dance: Gary Woodland (is on MAYJAH FIYAH), Emiliano Grillo (top 10 last two years), Si Woo Kim

Spicy: Scott Piercy, Abraham Ancer, Beau Hossler, Harold Varner III

Picks for Dreamers: Sam Ryder, Joaquin Niemann, Denny McCarthy

Picks for Noses: Jordan Spieth, Charley Hoffman,

Six Beers In: Bud Cauley, Seamus Power, Kevin Streelman
