PGA Tour Fantasy Golf Game

Each week, I’ll trot out guys who I believe who fit the course, the game and the road map, plus add some substitutes. Four starters are supported by two bench players each week. Remember, once a player tees off in your lineup he burns a start, so make sure you need to sub out instead of want to sub out.

You’ll learn a few things about me each week in this column.

Games, like this one, that involve daily substitution options, I am terrible at playing.

I’ll give you my best four starters and two bench options but it’s up to you to outguess me on which rounds they should sit or play.

Russell Henley > Billy Horschel decision killed me in both this format and Yahoo! last week. But unlike Yahoo! where I took a massive drop, in this game overall I moved up nine spots.

I’m still in the top 100 so I have that going for me which is nice.

Having two of the six best players on the roster was great. Having one of them on the bench for the fourth round when he racked up 125 points (Horschel) didn’t help.

Hell, I’m used to that.

But having Brooks Koepka’s 35 points instead cost me NOYNETY POINTS.

I’m not used to that.

Sigh.

I didn’t burn my final start on Fowler but I also didn’t have Daniel Berger in my top six but he was in the subs section.

That doesn’t help me but maybe it helped you!

 

This Week

With only one week to go, I’m emptying the chamber and will find plenty of pieces next week at TPC River Highlands (read: Bubba) to form a roster.

If you’re not “saving” guys for majors like this, good for you and I hope you’re beating me.

For the rest of you, these are the events that best players in the world schedule their existence around and there’s no point leaving them out.

This isn’t the week for a long shot or off-the-wall selection unless you’re extremely desperate and most all hope is lost.

Some will argue this is the perfect week to go off the grid as everyone stacks on chalk. Ok, 156 guys, you pick the one. I’ll bow! Don’t forget to bet him either so you can win some REEL LOOT.
