The voodoo was in full effect for the defending champion AGAIN at Zurich as Justin Rose missed the cut but luckily I went with Day. That was the only good news on the week as my voodoo wasn’t good in Group 2 as I resisted Chris Kirk (T-5) and sleeper Jamie Lovemark (P-2) for Daniel Berger, who at least cashed at T-20. Boo Weekley gained more notoriety for sleeping during the rain delays than his play and Luke List couldn’t handle the weight of being in his category! Or something. Whatever.
This Week
Group 1: Rory McIlroy
Group 2: Hideki Matsuyama
Group 3: Kevin Streelman
Group 4: Harold Varner, III
Total Birdies: 25
Group 1:Contrarians will strain to get off the defending champ and only two-time winner; Fowler has to be the next choice if that’s the case.
Group 2: Re-wrote this paragraph 10 times but Matsuyama’s tee-to-green game nicks it over Patrick Reed’s current form.
Group 3: Bombers should be up the ‘board this week but I’m running with the guy who hasn’t had a round over par in his last 12 tries at Quail Hollow.
Group 4: HV3 has hit the top 10 in his last two starts and kills par fives. Oh, and he hit it it a mile. #GoodCombo
