Valero Texas Open Recap

04-26-16

Busy afternoon and evening last night but I didn’t want this to slip through the cracks.

Key Sunday moments:

Pretty simple: Close the deal.

Hoffman holed TWO YUGE putts on the final two holes to save par to stay in the lead and make birdie to win the tournament.

His final round scoring average was abysmal on Tour BUT that hasn’t been the case at the Oaks Course where his worst final round in six years is one-under 71.

No wonder he like it here!

Key moments of the week:

Cashed in on his opening round 66 by putting the next three all under par as well. His putting numbers were impressive with the amount of GIR he pegged for the week.

Fantasy “Yikes” of the week:

Jimmy Walker just didn’t have it.

It happens and we move on.

Hopefully gamers all suffered together because there was nothing entering the week that suggested leaving him out other than being a stark contrarian.
