Week 1!

We all have hope!

Remember all times last year when you told yourself it would be different next season?

THAT TIME IS NOW, PEOPLE.

One and Done

This week we’ll wrap up 2018-19 and get you ready for Week No. 1 of 2019-20!

Looking back, I had a nice year but I needed a couple of my four, second-place finishes to morph into wins!

Sadly, it doesn’t work that way.

My majors contributions and PLAYERS selection were worse than bad so to still break the $10 million mark with those awful results was encouraging.

Another valuable lesson learned is that the Playoffs are for the big boys. Now, WHICH big boys makes this more and more difficult and that’s why it’s enjoyable and maddening all at the same time. Only McIlroy and Woods have won the FedExCup twice so start there.

Last “Week” – TOUR Championship

A brutal end to my fantasy season as Justin Rose didn’t pick up the bit and run like he usually does at East Lake.

After taking the lead against my compatriots at PGATOUR.COM heading into the final week, I was blown away as two of them saved McIlroy for the biggest of business.

Oh well. Get up. Dust off and try again!

THIS WEEK – A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier

As I wrote in my preview, this is the most difficult handicap of the season as the KFT 50 make up a third of the field. Those who didn’t participate in the KFT playoffs have had a few weeks off to build up some rust and get fatter probably. Well, I did.

Anyhow.

This is event is also difficult to handicap because it’s just year three of a major renovation and everything is still settling in.

I’m keeping it simple this week. I’m looking for form, above everything, if I’m looking for a winner. Resort courses on Par 70 doesn’t provide much time for a Mulligan or any rounds above 70. Only one winner, Scott Stallings, has put on one the card.

Form also helps as this course isn’t difficult to learn as it’s right in front of you. Plenty of guys have sub-63 here without playing in the event before. If I’m mentioning sub-63 rounds that tends to bring in just about everyone as well.

THE PICK

Scottie Scheffler:

He ran riot through the regular season and KFT playoffs and is no stranger to expectations. His time at UT-Austin prepared him for his run last year and he won’t be intimidated by the course or the field.

Safety:

Russell Henley and Robert Streb are proven TOUR winners who excel here.

Spicy:

Viktor Hovland, Sungjae Im and Joaquin Niemann.

3AM at the Blackjack Table:

Sebastian Munoz, Kristoffer Ventura and Brendon Todd.
